On 26th of February, at the invitation of the Sinology Students’ Society of the Jagiellonian University, Mr Marcin Janik, a geographer particularly passionate about mountains, gave a lecture on his fascinating journey throughout the vast and various regions of China. He showed many beautiful photos of the monuments of Beijing and Xi'an, colorful landscapes of Hua Shan, Tibet and Tian Shan, cultural heritage of Kashgar. Participants had the opportunity to get to know the basics of traveling through China by different means of transportation. Mr Janik talked about his encounters with locals and showed that even the biggest skeptics will find something interesting in China.
